On Saturday, July 27, 2002, the Phoenix Mercury will be playing the Sacramento Monarchs at America West Arena in Phoneix, AZ. For this home game, we would like all UCSB fans and Kayte fans to come out and cheer Kayte and the Mercury on at the game. After the game, a post-game party will be held at the Hard Rock Cafe nearby the arena. Kayte will be making a personal appearance at Hard Rock and be available to sign autographs and take photos with the fans.

For those who would like to attend the Monarchs' game on July 27, please contact Dan Berman of the Mercury, Group Sales Ticket Coordinator at 602-252-9622 to order tickets, or 602-514-8333. We want to try and have all of the fans sit in the same section at the arena, and tell them Kayte sent you.....

I am VERY excited about this one! :D :D About a month ago, I decided that July 27th was the day that I was going to come to Phoenix to see a home game. Convinced another Gaucho fan (AJSpark) to join me and I know she'll be excited about this too. :D I can't wait! See you all in 2 weeks!

Actually, I talked to the mgr at Hard Rock last week and [Kayte] is scheduled to be at the cafe before the game! She'll probably go in after the game too, but she's definitely going to be at the cafe that Sat afternoon (around 2pm or so) to sign autographs.

Gaucho fans,

You guys may want to check with the Mercury office to see if they can help you with tickets or perhaps upgrade your seats. No guarantees, yet worth a try. Make sure to introduce yourselves.

Go Kayte, Go Mercury!!!

Hi mb! As GauchoGirl said, we're on our way to Phoenix - but we've been planning it for weeks, and already bought our tix through Ticketmaster. Not knowing the "lay of the land" at AWA when we purchased them, we discovered too late that our seats are across from the opposing bench instead of either behind or across from the Mercury bench. Do you think Merc mgmt. could still "upgrade" our tickets?? If so, who do we contact, and how?
Thanks mb - again, it was fun meeting you and capsman at the Sparks game. :D Go Mercury - Go Kayte!!

Just wanted to add that the original announcement about Kayte's appearance at the Hard Rock Café was that she would be signing autographs from 12:30 - 1:30 pm. That's when WE plan to be there! :D

To all interested persons:

I just wanted to clarify that the "post-game party" referred to in the original message will feature live/DJ hip-hop music and is a Hard Rock Cafe sponsored event NOT affiliated with Kayte. Hard Rock Cafe will be charging a cover for their evening event of $10 per person.

Kayte, however, still plans to make a brief appearance in person during the Cafe's evening event, but more than likely will not be available to sign autographs. So, if there are fans who wish to see Kayte in person, free of charge, then the BEST opportunity will be on Saturday afternoon, July 27, from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Hard Rock Cafe before the Sacramento game. :)

AJspark...once you get into the arena, moving to another location is pretty simple! I sit in the section behind the merc bench and there are almost always available seats from no shows or not sold seats.

A sweatshirt? If that's a shirt that prevents sweat. then by all means bring one for all of us ;) Otherwise, leave it home as it only cools down to 85 degrees at night.

The temp right now at 10:30 am is 92 with 42% humidity. We're in a cooling trend though. It should only be 104 today 8)
