Game Time........Bonfiglio's back. Gillom has 9 pts in the first 9 minutes

Sounds like Kevin Ray is going solo for this game.

Near the end of the first half, Charlotte shooting 7-12 from 3pt land :(

Will someone teach this team to play perimeter defense please? LA goes 7-12 in the second half of last game, and Charlotte is 8-13 so far tonight. Teams should not even get 15 looks from three in 40 minutes, let alone sink 15.

Think Tonya Edwards wanted to prove something? She only had 17 points and three rebounds in nine games all season before tonight, and she's already got 10 and 2 in the first half of this one. Yikes!

capsman! nice to see your smiling butthead.....or is that beavis? :)

Only 5 min for Vealy so far. Maybe they're still trying to figure out who she works best with out there......?

(It was nice to finally meet you in spite of mb's lack of etiquette ;) - hope you had a nice journey home)

Coop who? It was all your fault ;)

mb is fine........I think. The Merc aren't looking too well at the moment though. What's it take to defend the outside shot??

Sorry to have missed the live audio stream, being an old Gaucho & all. (Wife had me picking up kittens, Alamo & Gordo, both orange fireballs rising, Alamogordo (Whitesands), you know, first nuclear test ... )

I am pleased that both Kayte & Erin had big minutes & their best games of the season, at least best as I can determine from reading the playXplay. Erin (3 years a Gaucho) topped Kayte by a bit & contributed to the Sting's homecourt domination, now winning 13 straight at home to tie the Comets for the WNBA record.

Erin's double-double is a first for her in the WNBA, 11 pts, 11 rebounds. Erin & Kayte had quite a duel, both were 4-7 from the field. Kayte only had 4 rebounds, like the Mercury team, a little deficient there.

Go Mercury.

Kayte played a great game. I'm becoming a member of the "Kayte needs more playing time" club. I don't think she should start over Jen, but I do think she needs to come into the game for Adrain soon after the jumpball.

Has anyone else had trouble listening to the Phoenix live audio? The last two times I have tried, I've gotten football and baseball instead. I had to listen to the Charlotte broadcast and I also got tired of hearing about all the "3-balls" :x

I wasn't able to listen to yesterday's game :( This week's games are too early, out here on the West Coast :!: :!: I rarely get home before 6pm (30-50 minute drive from work, depending on the traffic heading south through and from Santa Barbara). I was able to catch Yahoo's Courtside live stats at half time prior to heading home. It was ugly those last few minutes of the first half. I kept seeing the play-by-play showing PHO-miss, CHA-score, CHA-Rebound, CHA-Rebound.....ouch

Anyway, getting back to your question, when I listen to the audio, the only problem I've noticed was the volume being quite low; however, the last couple of times it seemed to be okay.

Tomorrow, I've got to leave work early, oh, ah, I think I feel something coming on....cold....flu....stubbed toe.......MERCURY RISING, that's it

Yes, the Phoenix audio stream volume is often too low & distorted. Sometimes, it just fails & I must listen to the other team's coverage. Sometimes Yahoo! puts the other team's coverage on the Mercury channel, as in the game with the LA Sparks for over half the game.

I had wondered if the trouble was only in my path on the Web, but I guess its systematic, and perhaps Yahoo!'s problem.

:? glad to know wasnt just mine also...I had all those problems early on and hated the low volume then the static on one game was "unlistenable" ... I emailed them several times and last time on the low volume they didn't reply but was working the next game.
