Quote: The league is at it's lowest ever. There is a bright side, however. Seattle's numbers are up by about 1,400 and the Shock's are up 2,300(compared to last year's). Last night's Sting crowd was of no help(3,488). Hopefully this weekends crowds will be decent.

1.) Washington Mystics - 13,014
2.) New York Liberty - 11,070
3.) Detroit Shock - 9,656
4.) Sacramento Monrachs - 9,574
5.) Los Angeles Sparks - 8,811
6.) San Antonio Silver Stars - 8,105
7.) Seattle Storm - 7,851
8.) Houston Comets - 7,147
9.) Phoenix Mercury - 7,068
10.) Indiana Fever - 6,894
11.) Minnesota Lynx - 5,784
12.) Charlotte Sting - 5,778
13.) Connecticut Sun - 5,749
WNBA Average - 8,018

Note: Apparently last years numbers were tickets distributed versus this years numbers which are paid tickets. Perhaps Cam can elaborate.

There was only 6,000 plus fans at the game tonight ( 9-8-04 ) against the Sparks. That is patheic.

There were almost 9,000 attending Sat 9/4 game against Seattle. Since the Mercury are trying to maintain a family oriented arena, I think perhaps school in session has something to do with Wed 9/8 lower attendance. This coming Sat 9/11 game may tell the tale
