| Thnx for the info. It's exciting for the Mercury to be represented in the Olympics. We as a team are getting a lot of recognition from it. We're not the ugly step sister of the league any more. |

Hey, don't forget we were represented at the last olympics too
This is great for Diana, but I actually wish that she didn't have this extra burden this year. Huge workload & pressure for someone who isn't even healthy. |

| On the plus side does this mean the Merc can cash in by selling some DT team USA jerseys? :D |

Ooh - good thinking - that would be one way to get a non-orange DT jersey. :)
Still hoping the Merc do the right thing and bring out a white one though. |

Indeed!
If the Storm can sell Sue Bird ones then surely the Merc can sell DT ones - which come in much fan friendlier colours. |

mb & I spoke to Jay Perry (new COO) after tip-off banquet May 11 abt white jerseys. She said she would ck it out with the league office. So, perhaps? it will be in the works soon. :D If nothing else we'll find out if she really does listen to the fans!
There are other white Mercury shirts available, including one with caricature of DT, just not white jerseys at this time. |

I mentioned the home white jerseys to Jay Perry and Anne Mariucci over two months ago. Both agreed it would be a good idea and that they would look into it immediately. Apparently, "immediately" means something different to everyone.
League offices? Please. Again, if the Storm can sell Sue Bird home white jerseys, why can't Phoenix? Management is dropping the ball on this one...why couldn't they have home white jerseys available for the HOME OPENER???
Ugh. |

If they're really sneaky, they will have only the away-coloured jerseys available for the first several games. People will be forced to buy that one.
Then they'll release the more attractive home jerseys after a month or so, and everyone will have to buy that too after seeing how superior it is.
:P |

| Good thinking DD! Then they can then release the team USA one after the Olympics for the last month of the season! ;) |
