I'm going to LA on Tuesday with a couple other Gaucho fans for the Mercury-Sparks game, mostly to see "our" Kayte, but she's gotten so little floor time lately I'm not sure we'll get much of a chance to cheer for her. :? Thanks for all your posts; it helps us out-of-towners get at least marginally acquainted with the other team members. And between all the Gaucho fans on this board who might be at the game, too, you AZ fans should get some good insights on Tuesday's game. Go Mercury! Go Kayte!! :) :)

Gaucho fans,

Capsman and I (mb) will be attending the LA game as will Hannah.

Please come say hello. We'll join you in yelling at Coop to insert Kayte if you join us calling for Vealy to get in.

GO MERCURY. Fifty bucks to the Mercury player who brings me Lisa Leslie's hair extensions(sp) pulled out by the roots, or who retaliates an elbow and breaks her nose.

Leslie might break another nail and not play, like she did against Seattle.
Yeah, MB will be yelling at Cooper to get Kayte & Vealy into the game; I'll just be yelling at Cooper to retire!!

Well seeing as Kayte played 18 minutes today (and played a key role in that last decisive run), the UCSB contingent may just have something to cheer about after all. :)

:D Hooray - eighteen minutes, and productive ones at that! :D Hope Kayte gets at least as many minutes in LA. Capsman and mb, where can we find you to say hello? At least two of us are coming to Phoenix for the July 27 game vs. Sacramento....if we meet you Tuesday, it will be fun to reconnect then. Go Mercury! Go Kayte! GO "VEALY"!

:D :D was glad Kayte got some productive minutes..haven't looked at stats but she hit all her freethrows (missed one) ...played good D on the trap on K.Smith they had to call timeout and also causing Lynx turnover in backcourt.

:D :D Glad will get to tape the LA/Phx game since its on Season Pass!

:D :D Announcers raved over Lisa and they were the Minn. crew on Fox Sports Net. Lisa/Coop something happened...Coop was saying something after the offensive foul Lisa during that time out afterwards.... Princess vidcaps up finally.... www.lisaharrison3.com

Thanks Cindi for the Growth Chart :!: :D

Skew, its being UPS'd today, along with a few other items that fit in the mailing tube;)

I want the coaching staff to have Kayte guard Leslie and just pester the heck out of her, a little subtle trash talk about her vanity might help annoy her too!
I want to see Bonfiglio start, not Reid, in fact Reid can rest her ankle and susana can get some serious minutes! She is a very smart and efficient player!
I want to see Vealy in a game (or in the case of tuesdays game hear Vealy in the game!)
Finally....
I want to see a real coach next season, one who respects players for the abilities they do have and stops blaming the players for horrid officiating, and one who doesn't punish players by not playing them for insignificant reasons!

Gia - thanks for posting the link to that article. It was interesting to read that Cooper feels that guarding Lisa will require more than one player - I'll second caune's vote for Kayte! :D

I'm got a ticket and am making the trip down from SB, but I can't get out of here until well after 5 so if traffic is bad I'll be late. Anyway, I'm section 101, row 7, seat 13. It'll be cool to meet some of you there.

Well, if mb didn't have his cell phone voice mail forwarded to his home phone here in Phoenix I'd be able to leave a message for him about where all of you are sitting :?

If you catch Timmsy before the game, ask her, she'll point him out for you. Have fun!

Actually he called right after I posted that message. They don't know where they're sitting as they have to pick up the tix at will call. He was going to get online and see where you're sitting though.

Hey, I'll try to find you guys. Likely I will talk to Timmsy before or after the game, so keep an eye on her. Capsman will be with me...I'll be the good looking bald guy in the black and grey Mercury golf shirt.

I'll be yelling for Kayte and Kristen and at Copper and Leslie.

Don't know if hack a Lisa will work; yet hope Adrain, Bobo, and Kayte all attempt to frustrate her.

GO MERCURY.

Starters tonight should be: PG Grubin, SG Bonfiglio, SF Harrison, PF Gillom, and C Williams. Kayte, Jaynetta, and Bobo should get strong minutes as well.

BEAT corn cob and company.

the witches broom, indeed. Gia, you are too much. I've just been reading Merc message boards, first at azcentral and now here, since Kayte joined the Mercury, but have loved your posts, quizzes, etc. Keep it up. Have followed K. since high school here in No.Calif.

BTW, Kaytes' mom and dad are flying down to Phx and will be at the Friday game. Hope they will make contact with some of you hard core fans, as folks from up here in Alturas, CA don't get down your way often.

If the Mercury improve on one area this season, it needs to be mental breakdows. It seems every game, they have at least 5 mental breakdowns during a game and allows the competition to go on long runs. Some perfect examples were Houston and LA.
