Sorry, I will be at work. When I get home, rather than watch a tape of the game, I will be viewing the next President.
More if time allows... |

Hannah's Mom here. She told me her user name/password.
First off, Barack Obama will not be elected president.
I was reading some posts from awhile back and saw the ones you lit into my daughter over her asking for tickets and whatever. She asked for a ride when her car was broke down and nobody responded. You railed on her about the tickets and all. One thing for sure, I hope if any of you ever get in a cituation and need help someone comes along to help out. Hopefuly you won't be treated like you treated my daughter. Hannah has had 4 really rough years. She is coming out it though. Needing help is no fun at all.
Some of you obviously don't have much of a life if you are going to trash talk someone on this board. |

"She asked for a ride when her car was broke down and nobody responded. "
Not true that no one responded. I did. Unfortunately, I was unable to help her out that night; but offered a ride any other time in the future. Maybe the private message feature of the message board didn't work, who knows? :? But, wasn't going to post my response on the message board itself and have someone tell me that wasn't what the message board was for. So, I used the private message feature.
Don't know you or your daughter-but better luck to you all the same. |

HANNAH'S MOM: Alot of these fans that post on this board are prima donna's. They think there shiznit don't stink.
This is how I perceive them when I see their correspondence on this board. However, I believe I have already met MB because if he's the one I am thinking of I sit in the same row he does at the games at least last season.
He's pretty cool but I think things get said out of context sometimes. Maybe we should all use the emoticons more often as that would shed more light into what we are trying to say.
I have learned just to deal with what I perceive ignorance from some of those that post on here and I am sure they do the same with me too  but really they all seem to be nice people and loyal Mercury fans. |

Hannah's Mom....
First of all, this is not the forum to express this issues. It is a topic and forum to discuss basketball.
Second, I don't know about others or how many people Hannah asked to help her with a ride but I do know I was one. And I did not respond but only because I did not see the message until days after the fact and knew it was too late to help. If you want a quick response from me, the private message route is the worst one to take.
Third, I do know that several people on this board have helped Hannah on numberous occasions and would do so again, even when she "lit into them on this board." It often goes both ways.
I have been aware that Hannah has had a tough time. As have several others on this board, especially lately. Rarely do I see Hannah when I do not ask how she is doing or discuss her situation. I have tried to do what I can or see a need I can help with, even without her asking.
No one likes to do things when they are not appreciated or when they feel like they are being taken advantage of. The best way, I have found, to make people feel that way is bad mouth them, regardless of the circumstances. What is the saying? "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."
I realize that when times are tough, it is difficult to have any feeling of self worth and to see the positives as small as they may be. I have been there. So have others. But I would never let those difficulties allow me to turn on those who tried to help or the very least thought they were helping.
I been fortunate to know many of the people (and MB is one) who post on this board and I am proud to call them a friend. I have seen many of them (MB included) make sacrifices and go way out of their way to help others who needed it without expecting anything in return and without any fanfare. Many of those people are ones that BoFan would ignorantly call the board's prima donnas.
NOW - back on topic....
The outcome of the game was disappointing but all was not terrible. First of all, we did not lose by the biggest margin of the day. :D Second, if we could hit a shot (including the layups) we would have been in this game. Third, it was nice to see our bench get some positive minutes. We will need them down the stretch. :) |

| We couldn't hit the broadside of a barn while SASS seemed like they were hitting lights out  Glad I left the game early and was off the roads before the storm. That was the only positive I got out of the whole night. Le'Coe played only about 17 minutes if that? Anyone know why? :?: |

ON THE GAME: I thought it was lousy... :?
ON THE CURRENT ISSUE: I"ve had the great pleasure of meeting some of the people who post on here, including MB. They are some of the kindest and most generous people I've ever met. Just want to throw that out there. |

| LeCoe and the other regular starters (other than 1:44 for Kelly Miller) did not play in the fourth quarter when SASS had such a big lead. That is why her minutes as well as the others were down. |

Hannah's Mom, while wanting to defend your daughter is commendable; you do her more harm than good, dredging up the past and accusing us of not being sensitive to her difficult times.
There are two sides to every story, and if you did your homework with an open mind, you would find many of us have been more than sensitive to her struggles and have helped or offered to help.
Feel free to re-read my comments, and Hannah's own response, in the following thread (06/29/08 Game 14, I think):

Contrarily, if one lets some constructive criticism and negative feedback on a message board affect them to such a large extent, they may need to broaden their horizons.
Having met both you and Hannah on numerous occassions, I know you are good people of great faith and wish your family well.
Our politics may disagree, yet we both wish our fellow man well and hope for the best for a stuggling nation. We simply have different ideas on what direction to move forward.
In the grand scheme, the Mercury and this message board are pretty insignificant compared to other challenges.
Again, all the best to you and family.
