Can anyone enlighten me on the status of her knees?
I'm getting worried.
She tried to play WNBL this season and couldn't sustain it, had the operation in order to be back in plenty of time for the WNBA, then hurt her other knee, and now it seems to be taking a lot longer to heal than everyone expected.
I just want some good news - something that shows it is progressing positively, even if slowly. I'd hate to think she needed more surgery.
Anyone?...

| That would be the $64,000 question at this point. I'm sure she's more than eager to get out there. How much she'll play and contribute in the beginning is a bigger question but the sooner she gets back the better. |

Dan,
It took some time for her to get cleared to practice. She started with partial practices and now is a full practice participant.
She's ready to go, they just don't seem willing to cut/waive, suspend, or put anyone on IR in order to activate her.
Perhaps capsman can shed more light on the subject. :D
Perhaps, they'll make an overdue decision on Brandy!  |

Not only because I am a Veal fan does Brandy need to go. We may be doing her a favor if we put her on the suspended list. Tough love may not work in her case, but codddling certainly isn't either.
Some have called for Coop to go as well. While supportive, I have never been a big fan of Coop as a coach.
Some clarification: Thought Coop was a great player, loved watching her. Like her story, though at times she needs to let go of it. Hope she does well as coach, just prefer others over her. Congrats on the babies, coach.
Was also a Brandy Reed fan. Enjoyed watching that rare athleticism. Somewhere along the way this girl has encountered some demons and is having trouble ridding herself of them. Hopefully she can get past this and thrive, basketball or not. For now, she needs well wishes, but a break form basketball. |

Thanks guys. Just the knowledge that she's practicing is reassuring to hear.
I can understand that there's been no great hurry to rush her back up to this point - her continued IR status is a good opportunity to fully evaluate everyone before the tough decision of who has to make room for Kristen on the roster.
I suspect that Bonfiglio might have been the unfortunate one, but the whole Brandy fiasco may just make the decision a lot easier for the organisation.
Anyway I look forward to seeing Veal back leading the charge before too long. |

| Was told that someone asked Seth about Vealy's return at Open Practice today and he said 3 more practices. Not sure if that's firm or not. |

| I imagine it's daily practice for the most part. Not sure if they do doubles or not. |

The decision of WHO to put on IR when Vealy comes back should be an easy one.
BRANDY :!: :!:
Why :?: :?:
We will be a better team without her. She is a very negative distraction.
Will we need someone of Brandy's potential talent to get into the playoffs and beyond :?:
Possibly....probably. The problem is that right now and until Brandy decides to grow up, it will always be potential talent. And we will only see it in spurts. It seems like the decision is whether it is worth the risk of her negative impact versus what benefit she potentially can give the team down the road. |

Enjoy Brandy, the person, on her good days.
Really enjoy Brandy, the player, on her good days.
Hope she can make positive steps forward. Perhaps the microscope and our demands are too much. Yes, I know, asking an adult to act like one isn't an extreme demand. However, it is obvious the girl is an outsider/loner/introvert.
That is the sympathetic side of me. 8)
The harsh, blunt, ultra-realistic side says:
Can mental instability be a valid reason to go on IR?      |
