Quote: Minnesota Lynx assistant coach Jennifer Gillom was sure she was the victim of a prank phone call.
Ten days ago, Renee Brown, the WNBA's chief of basketball operations and player relations, awakened Gillom from a pregame nap with the news that she had been selected to the Class of 2009 for induction into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

Quote: Five minutes with Jennifer Gillom
Quote: Gillom, an original member of the Mercury when the team debuted in 1997, was one of six women named Sunday to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2009.
She spent seven seasons in the WNBA after playing overseas professionally and for Mississippi in college. Gillom was part of a gold medal-winning team in the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Currently an assistant coach with the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx, Gillom also coaches girls basketball at Phoenix Xavier College Preparatory. She will be inducted in Knoxville, Tenn., on June 13, 2009 - her 45th birthday - with former Mercury coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, Jennifer Azzi, Sonja Hogg, Jill Hutchison and Ora Washington.
