So do we have an official tally of who's going to be in town to see the ring and trophy ceremony on Opening Day?

We should have a Brigade potluck/party just for our out-of-towners. I will volunteer our DJ services, and will gladly bring along some home made, authentic Mexican fare.

ETA: One problem, I can't think of where to have this shindig.

I will be making the trek over to the Other Coast :D

Friday night sounds great, although I will also be partying on Saturday night with whoever is left  Sucks that the game is so early. No way I can fit my mandatory pregame drinks in. I may actually catch shootaround for once!

Well, I'm down for whatever is decided. Friday is fine by me, I seem to get the feeling that a Brigade Happy Hour is going to be the decision. Am I on track?

I gotta get my schedule down, I already turned down a gig 'cause they had the nerve to have a birthday party that day. You know I got my priorities straight.

LOL! How we gonna do that when we have to be in line early to get our rings?? But it's bad luck if I don't have a pregame drink....hmm replica ring or championship tested superstition...oh my what a dilemma!

Have we come up with anything yet?

I was going to make a smart remark like..."they are giving out 5,000, no need to get in line early....everyone there should get a ring.    :? 8) :(

But then I thought better of it and decided I wouldn't say that.

Does this mean the meet and greet party is at Cooperstown before the game or did you all want something Friday night at my house?

I'm cool either way or both.

I've always found that entering on the south side of the arena most of the giveaways are always there because most folks enter from the north side.

Drinks at Cooperstown and then stumble over to the back entrance...viola!

I also think they should hold rings for STH and not just reward the fair-weather folks. Like they did with the DT bobbleheads.

Sportsfan48 Friday night at your house, Cooperstown, Saturday am for Bloody Marys or Screwdrivers or just a diet Pepsi.

My house will be ready......Friday night it is. Last big party in the back yard served over 120 people so the Brigade shouldn't be a problem.

For you out of towners who would like to come over or anyone else who doesn't know where I live, PM me and I will let you know the details.

I might put the word out to a few others who do not frequent the boards on a regular basis and make this an official "Ramma Lamma Ding Dong Phoenix Mercury Brigade Party".

You don't come to the Finals, but you come to get your ring?? :?:

Who do you think you are? Olympia Scott?

..If they do it the way the Monarchs did it, there will probably be extras, because the Maloofs had rings made in both medium and large. If anyone can procure me one of these extras, the next time SAC has an MVP Road Trip to PHO, Kilt Lifters at Majerle's are on me :P

Exactly!

Every time I went to games last year, the Mercury lost. Even to Minnesota!!!

I couldn't risk that for the playoffs!!!

I have been getting a lot of inquiries about the pregame party on Friday night, May 16.

Anyone who posts on this board, loves the Mercury, is planning on attending the opening game on Saturday, will be in town, and wants to have a fun opportunity to meet and greet is welcome to come. A few non-boardees may be in attendance as well.

I would like an idea how many will be coming so let me know the number in your group. If you need transportation, I am sure arrangements could be made. I live about 25 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from the airport and have easy access off the freeway.

I plan on having food ready to serve around 6:30pm but the food will be available for those who can not get there until a little later.

I have a basketball court (kinda half court) in my back yard...so bring your BB shoes and plan on having a fun time. A special prize will be given to the person with the most unigue and fun Mercury poster.

I have a some volunteers who will be helping me...thanks in advance to mandhi & co., blznTr33s & family, and shrrew....and I am sure a few others before this is over.

FYI...most of the Brigade members here know this...but the out of town visitors may not: My home is a non-alcohol home. I know, a Brigade party without drinking....but we have done it before and have been okay. There will be plenty of water and sodas.

Sportsfan and helpers: many thanks to you.

Planning to arrive as soon as traffic and work allow.

Looking forward to seeing the usual suspects (Brigade), returning out of towners (GA and FL in the house!) and many new and old friends.

The gatherings there are always great, and the gang has plenty of fun even without alcohol.

.

p.s. ASU fans, Kayli and I were sponsors at Confirmation rehearsal this evening.

Huh, see how you are??? I offer my American Idol Wii game, and you blow me off for a professional? I warn you - I have been known to break into song even sober. I tend to sound alot better then, too.

I will be there! Can't wait..................only 10 more days till Party Time, 11 days UNTIL THE BLING!!!!!!

Okay, since we'll be the entertainment at the joint, I was thinking some Funk, Old School Hip Hop/Rap, Motown, Soul, new/old R&B, some Pop and maybe some new non-offensive Rap/Hip Hop. All clean and edited of course. Feel free to add to my list

Aunt Jan, you know it's our pleasure. Could you hook us up with a table like last time?

Also... I have a slight favor to ask. We've been trying to work our way into the Mercury's line of entertainment and in order to do so, need some video of crowd interaction. Would there be any objections if we took some video here and there? If not it's all good.

ETA: No video would go on a website (which isn't up yet) unless we specifically asked your permission. Some of the video will be going to the VP of Game Entertainment, the rest on the cutting floor.

Wow...go away for a couple of hours and see what happens.

cuane...thanks for adding the staff invites. I debated adding a couple to the Brigade email I sent. I have invited MFO in the past and they have never come but you never know.

Suzi...sorry about the slight on the Wii offer. I didn't see is until a while ago. Such a nice offer too. But BlznTr33 and Co do a great job with the music. Look forward to hearing your version of some of the latest.

Speaking of which....Blzn3s...I will have a table and extension cords if you need them. We'll plan to set up where we did last time. I don't have a problem with a video as long as everyone knows about it and doesn't have a problem.

Gillomfan...check your messages.

That should just about cover it for now.
