I just got back from a few days in Japan. My 11 ½ hour flight wasn’t too bad. I watched three movies and played Tetris while I was on the plane to pass the time. I saw 3:10 to Yuma, the Shawshank Redemption and the Bourne Ultimatum.
I love Japan! My first trip to Japan was when I was in the 8th grade and I participated in an exchange basketball program called Sansei. This program is for 1st generation Japanese Americans. One year the tournament is in Japan and the next year it is in America. My mother is Japanese and my first name is Yasuto (did you know that X-Factor?) and I am called Yasuto, not Corey, when I am back in Japan.
We ate a yakiniku dinner, which is a popular dinner in Japan with Kobe beef. At the dinner we discussed a lot of basketball. Masa was my General Manager when I played in Japan and we have kept in touch since then. When I played in Japan our team made it to the championship of the All-Japan Tournament.
