Comets reacquire Sonja Henning

June 17, 2002

HOUSTON (AP) -- The Seattle Storm traded guard Sonja Henning back to the Houston Comets on Monday for forward Amanda Lassiter.

Henning started all 32 games for the Comets in 1999, helping them to their third straight WNBA title. She played 72 games in two seasons with the Storm. She has career averages of 4.1 points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

Lassiter, in her second season, has recently been earning more playing time in Houston. After seeing only two total minutes of action in the Comets' first two games, Lassiter played 22 scoreless minutes in Houston's overtime victory against Cleveland on June 1.

She has played in six games so far this season after appearing in all 32 last year.

great... just in time for Sonja to terrorise our backcourt in Houston eh?

Unfortuntely for us, this trade improves both those teams. Still, I always enjoy a bit of player movement just to spice things up.
