Belinda Snell had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in Sydney 92-78 win over Perth. Former Mercury training camp participant Jenny Crouse had 27 points and 8 rebounds in the same game.

I wouldn't mind seeing Snelly on the Merc. She's a versatile BIG guard with a penchant for casually knocking down threes. Her only weak point is that she is a bit slow but she is an offensive dynamo. Rumour has it that she's coming to the WNBA in 2003.

Does she happen to have a husband with a voice like Rodney O? Maybe we can grab her instead of Fallon ;)

How old is she??

Belinda's only 21 lol and no, I don't think she's married.

She has much more potential than Trish. Trish is a bit more consistent but then again, Trish has more experience.

Keegan, my scouting trip memories are that Snelly had a deadly shot, especially at 3 point range. Her hot hand changes the complexion of a game quickly. Unfortunately, in the WNBA, speed is a factor. Here, Veal is considered a tad slow, and she is quicker than Snelly isn't she?

Besides Belinda, are there any others considering the WNBA? Batkovich, perhaps? How soon do you think Shelly Hammonds or Laura Summerton could be at WNBA level, or could they?

Veal is a bit quicker than Snell (or maybe was, I'm not sure now) but speed isn't *everything* in the WNBA. Snell would also be hard to guard because of her strength and versatility. She reminds me a bit of Andrea Stinson actually with a dash of Katie Smith thrown in. Stinson isn't exactly fast either. Belinda is just playing her way into the season after an injury cloud and when she is in peak condition, she'll be ok.

I know Suzy wants to come to the WNBA. Hammonds and Summerton aren't really all that far off and it might be financially beneficial for them to come next year instead of 2004.
