I think next year in women's college basketball, the tallent will be awesome! I mean, you've got Diana Taurasi and Ann Strother on the same team, and then Nicole Powell for Stanford, as well as Shereka Wright for Purdue. Who else do y'all think are "upcoming" or "rising" college standouts?

I'm not a huge follower of women's college ball, except during March Madness, though I have seen Nicole Powell play and I was impressed.

I think Caune is our resident college player guru :D

I am biased  , but UCSB has it's share and should go deep in the Big Dance the next two years, even without our Kayte. 6'2" G/F Kristen Mann, a sophomore next year, is probably the most talented and complete ever to play for the Gauchos. Lindsay Taylor, 6'8" center from Chandler, AZ has two more years, and is developing her skills nicely. April McDivitt, PG transfer from Tenn (to me UT will always mean Utah :? ) will be eligible for her final year in 2003-4, after the current time sharing point guards, Jess & Debbie, graduate. Mia Fisher, 5'9" guard, will be a sophomore next year, and is twice as quick as a wink, can create & convert a high percentage, as well as assist others for their opportunities. The bench is deep, with another 4 players that would start for most Division 1 teams.

(The Gaucho men finished strongly, taking AZ to the final buzzer in the Big Dance. If they can develop one of their young big men, they should be even better next year.)

Anyway, Go Gauchos  , and good luck to your favorites.

Monique Currie is a very impressive player. Also Mistie Bass(A Beast once she gets positioned in the post), Brittney Hunter(too bad she's transfering), and maybe Lindsey Harding (Pending that her shot improves)

LilSheryl, you have NO CLUE what you are talking about. I know Brittany PERSONALLY, as well as her family, and I can honestly say that your are completely incorrect.

Speculation, wihtout any factual support, can, in some cases, bordeline on defamation...or lead to unfounded rumors.
