One can dream, can't they?
Carrie is a top candidate for both PHX and SEA.

If we hire Graf, how about trying to trade for Jackson?
Trying to stir discussion:
Reid, Grubin and the pick for LJ?
Harrison and the pick?
Williams and the pick? |

Well as I understand things, our pick isn't going to get us anything special next season. For that reason I guess trading it for a known quantity wouldn't be such a bad move. (This opinion is based largely on 'the Tootie factor')
I think you might have your sights set a little high with LJ though.
Yes I'm naturally biased towards the Aussies, but I would think that a franchise player like Loz would be a lot more expensive than an OK player + and OK pick.
They're set for a bright future with Bird & LJ in place for years to come, and I think it would take a pretty special trade to dislodge either of them.
It would really be nice to know Stepanova's status for next season. She changes our front line dramatically, and also of course is our most tradeable player.
Finally, there's just a feeling I have that says we need to move forward, and therefore try to find someone fresh in preference to retrieving Graf.
That's more a general philosophy than an actual assessment of the available coaches though, and when combined with the "what do I know anyway!" factor, is probably best ignored ;) |

mb, you don't have to insult Lauren so much with those measly trade offers ;)
I would think Seattle would demand at least two decent starters and the pick. However I just don't think Phoenix has what it takes to trade for LJ. |

Sorry Keegan, I would never intentionally insult LJ...she rocks.
Like I said, it was wishful thinking. Not much going on, I wish we would just get on with the process.
After hiring a coach (Graf or Shumate, please), we need to look at packaging some of our "fringe" players (and even a solid role player) to open roster spots. If we could position ourselves for a high pick next season, that would be great as well (by trading, I look forward to a winning record this season). It would be nice to have a shot at Turasi or Powell. |
