Not only can she hoop, she speaks multiple languages, and is very attractive. Doubt she returns to PHX, unfortunately.

Seth said in the paper this morning that he is counting on her coming back. :?

I guess after having a great world tourny she now one of the pieces to make the Mercury complete. Interesting that her name never came across the radar screen until today. It was Oksana who was key to keeping.

The only thing encouraging is that John Schumate is on the short list which includes everyone that Seth has talked to. Three names are going to Brian Coangelo this week. The paper didn't say which three.

Now that the D-backs are in a skid, maybe the Merc will get some of Coangelo's attention :P

Last season I was told that Korstine would definately not be returning. Getting ahead of myself, I assumed other reasons she might not return this year. Turns out her absence last year was another product of the Cooper fiasco.

Expect two of three to return: Stepanova, Korstine, Fallon.

Hopefully two of the three on the short list for coach are Graf and Shumate.

Things are looking good for our Mercury! A new coach, some returning players, a high draft pick, etc!

Envision this:

PG: Veal, Moises; SG: Korstine, Bonfiglio; SF: Harrison, Fallon; PF: Gillom, Christensen; C: Stepanova, Williams. Then you also have a choice between Tuvic, Saunders, and a draft pick as the eleventh player.

Go Mercury!

MB....are you trading Grubin????? or can she stay if Korstine and Fallon are both no shows

BTW I noticed in todays article that Leon Barmore and Kevin Cook were not on the list...oversite, disinterest on their part or what?

Caune,

Grubin can stay if both Korstine and Fallon fail to show. Bet on Korstine and Step being here (call me an optimist).

As far as trades, I'm packaging Reid, the rights to Brogan, and one of Saunders, Tuvic, or Oksana.

Please give me a call.

If Graf had a choice between Seattle and Phoenix, where would she go? I'm thinking Seattle. I still hope Seth does the team a favor and goes with Shumate. :o

Mat if you had the choice between Seattle and Phoenix who would you choose? I'd take Seattle  It seems it would be a tad easier, no turmoil, two #1 picks, cool weather;)
But maybe if our offer came first, she'd coach here. Shu is my first choice, but Carrie would be good for Veal, so I would go along with hiring her.

Korstine looked great in the gold medal game. Seems she was another fatality of the Cooper era. The whole Russian team looked good. If they had Maria and Svet they would have blown the US out of the water.

I was extremely impressed how ALL the Russians could take the ball up the court (no bouncing ball off foot), and that they all could shoot the 3 without hesitation......actually the same could be said for the Australians too when I watched that game. Their passing was sharp all around.

Would love to see Fallon back here but wonder if Graf got the Seattle gig would she make a trade her. I still think that if Graf was in Phoenix last season, Fallon would have returned.

I wish they went inside more though... Suzy on the perimeter? Yipes!
