| So what's the scoop with Penny? She is not signed and is waiting for more money? Is she still in Italy? Is her season there over? I am from Ohio and bought tickets for the Detroit game to see Penny-I sure hope she plays!! The Mercury sure need Penny-they already got rid of a good scorer in Anna, and Penny can also get some rebounds and assists. I thought she was happy in Phoenix! If anyone knows any scoop, please let me know |

| To sum it up--Penny was or is still playing overseas, but Phoenix wont sign her if she can't gaurantee to stay the full season, and that may be the issue as she has committments to her Aussie team for the world championships this fall! Lots of foreign players arrive late for the start of the WNBA, then leave early for their overseas committments, and hurt their WNBA team by doing so! Maria Stepanova left early last season from the Mercury and therefore they missed the playoffs mainly because she wasnt here, or so many put the blame not making the playoffs? They want to make sure if Penny comes back, she will stay till the end, and that may be the problem? |
