Found this from ESPN! Not real favorable to the Mercury now, but the games will tell the story! If this is posted somewhere else--sorry --didnt see it! Here's the link:

Quote: But she doesn't have the athleticism or length of DeForge, and Miller is not as good of a perimeter defender. And that's a big concern, because when Diana Taurasi and Miller are in the backcourt together, they could have a hard time matching up defensively. And even if they switch it up, Taurasi, for all her strengths, cannot guard the likes of DeForge, Sheryl Swoopes or Deanna Nolan.
Nancy Lieberman is disgusting. She wrote this article and has the nerve to put DeForge in with Swoopes and Nolan?
The woman has no regard for ethics or the appearance of impropriety.
As for Anna's defense, she must have missed Anna running into the screener against New York on every single pick and roll with Becky Hammon. Niele Ivey figured it out after the first play, but Anna fell for it every time. And we lost the game as a result. |

| From what I've seen, Kelly Miller is a better defender than Anna DeForge. |
