Yeah, yahoo (erroneously) has her traded to CT from Houston.
We did sign Andrea Gardner and Yolanda Paige.
Good thing we signed Gardner, since she had a couple minutes Saturday.
edit: Paige is a wnba.com error...she's in DET.
RebKell has better info than the league itself! |

LOL, no we didn't meet her, we probably should have, huh?
I just called someone to make sure she made it here, not that I doubted she'd arrive  |

People really need to do some fact checking before posting rumors. Did you notice on the same day Charlotte signed a player they just released? Sign, release, sign...is anyone having Chinatown flashbacks?
Strother is in Phoenix, Paige is in Detroit, Gardner went to Howard, not the Garner from Penn State.
If anyone needs me, I will be with MB at Majerle's playing wingman. |

| all i said was "word on the street" i didn't say i knew for a fact i just said i heard something its not the end of the world. A trade wouldn't be a stretch anyway especially with kamila back and less need for another post. |

If that is the "word on the street," you need to check what street you are on. There was no word on the street....just a misprint by Yahoo, which was posted on the UConn board, the Rebkell board, and other boards as a rumor. |

not to get to deep into grammer with you but "street" was metaphor. Its not the first time a rumor has popped up about her or any other player its also not the end of the world if its just a mistake. although if you say its the end of the world i'll believe you if it makes you feel better!?
also why would you "fact check" a rumor when its just a rumor lol. Its a little difficult to fact check since the teams don't fax me their day to day transactions. |

Check the roster thread for his answers...mine answers are there as well, and we pretty much concur.
Perhaps I'll do us all a favor and delete this entire thread. |

Considering the coaching staff and GM are still evaluating players, it would be premature to speculate. But we can tell you (and I did) about the player personnel transactions as they happen or don't happen. |

| hollywood, no worries really, it was just the "word on the street" term....if you had said, I read on yahoo, or on another board, we'd have probably laid off ya and just corrected the info....but I beleive we are all rabid to get the season started  |

Well said Caune!
Kamila deserved an airport greeting (or not!).
Point is we are "damn glad to see ya!" (from a movie-title escapes me). |

How could I forget that...I was thinking of another movie though...the exact wording IIRC, was "Damn glad to see ya, boy!"
It was a "the calvary is here" type of sentiment...cop movie??? |

Nope. I told you, it was "Eric Stratton...rush chairman...damn glad to meet you."
Otter: "Hi. Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damned glad to meet you."
Boon: "Hi. That was Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. He was damned glad to meet you." (85K)
And take a listen:

Yes dear,
What I am saying is, in addition to Animal House, there is another movie that used a similar phrase! |

I have multiple sources. And I am not revealing them...that is the whole point to having sourcesis their anonymity. |

king,
cam has proven over and over that he has excellent sources. I don't know if you threw those questions at him because he often throws those same questions at others, but he has very good sources whom I believe share with him quite a bit. I think the fact that he is respectful of his relationship with them is one reason why the information is shared.
I, for one, am grateful that he finds things out and shares them when he can. He can be a useful tool when you hear something that doesn't sound right or you are not sure of.
BTW, hollywood....there was nothing wrong with your statement about "word on the street" just as there was nothing wrong with cam's reply that people should check facts before posting rumors. To some, your orginal post may have come across as factual information, not rumor.
cam often asks for proof, facts, etc. He is a lawyer. That is what he knows. |
