| For some reason, I feel suspicious as to the intent of the survey, but I cannot exactly explain why....? |

Quote: Dear_______
We need your input. As a valuable fan of the Phoenix Mercury and the WNBA, we would like your thoughts on how we can improve your experience at our games, and strengthen the WNBA as a league.
To help us accomplish this, please take a moment to complete our survey. The collective results will be reviewed by myself and our league president, Donna Orender. The findings will be used to enrich your experience with the Phoenix Mercury and the WNBA, for next season and beyond. Your feedback will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be used for promotional purposes--we guarantee!
In appreciation for your time, you will receive two free lower level tickets to a 2006 Mercury home game compliments of Dial!
To complete the survey now, simply click on the web page link below, or copy and paste it into your browser.

This survey may take up to 20-25 minutes to complete. We know you are busy, but your feedback is critically important to us. Thanks, in advance, for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Jay Parry
President and Chief Operating Officer
The survey is snail mailed and emailed to season ticket holders. It's nothing new, we did it last year. The 2 free seats were near mine in row 4. I invited friends to see this season's Houston at Mercury game (which we won). They enjoyed it so much they put $$ down for 2006 season tickets. :D |

| Well, I didn't find myself suspicious of the survey, more annoyed at the "rewording" of the SAME questions over and over again!!! I just got the feeling the questions were geared to learning more about the fan base, as far as moral values and the type of people who are attending the games. In my opinion this could be better obtained by simply asking the fans instead of trying to anticipate perspectives and asking fans to "rank" them. |

| Is there a feedback section so someone can ask (on my behalf) if Timmsy ever got her rollex? Or Caune her lunch with DT? |

Anyone get that error or know the info needed? |

Simply asking the fans?
Like one of the three Mercury employees doesn't do her regular job during the games and goes and talks to fans to ask them the questions?
The survey is much more efficient and cost effective! |

| Sorry I guess I should have worded that better- by asking the fans I meant allowing fans to enter their own opinions. Instead of the ranking type of questions allow the fans to fill in the blank, or mulitiple choice. The wording on a lot of them was in a manner that it was hard for me to choose so I would wind up choosing "agree or somewhat agree" but with those answers you aren't allowed to express what you DO and agree with and what you DO NOT agree with about that statement. I did not mean that the WNBA should go from fan to fan and ask their opinion.... I guess I should word better next time, I apologize. |

no apologies needed.
The fill in the blank is great if you have time to analyze the info, the ranking is more of a "feel it out" sort of method used to set priorities.
At the season ticket holder party they did give us a questionare that asked our direct opinions like "What do you enjoy most about the games?" and things like that. |

| Ok, I also filled one of those surveys at the party. I thought that was much better than the latest survey. |

I got the email about the survey but the last few lines including the link were missing. I must have been such a pain in the ..... during the season that they didn't want me to really answer.
I will try the link that 1carol posted. Thanks
mandih23, I feel your pain. I often struggle with exactly how to fill one of those type of surveys as well. I am generally an optimistic person, but in a case like this I think if you have any negatives (don't agree withs) for a question, you should answer more in the negative than positive. My reasoning is that they will hopefully try to fix or find out what the problems are if they think there is a problem. If everything is stated as satisfied or agreed with, then they will not know that some real problems exist.
As for the survey style, I agree with cuane. There is no way with our current staffing for them to review individual responses. I am sure they hired someone to do this survey for them. However, it would be interesting to see if they send out a downscaled follow-up survey. |

| I got mine, but couldn't take it because I didn't have the link and the password. When I tried to email the Mercury about it, I got an error message for the email. :( |

| Are those of you who received the error messages Mercury season ticket holders, flex/mini plan holders or just occasional single game buyers? This survey was sent to different groups...trying to identify who received incorrect links. Thanks! |

| The survey was part of something the league was helping the Mercury do...the first soft launch went to just a few hundred people and the second launch went to the whole database. My guess is something went wrong with the second launch. Anyone hear anything from non STH who had trouble? |

I am a full time STH since the beginning....bought my first season tickets at Wells Fargo Arena after the first preseason game with LA.
I didn't get the link.
It might be because I am kind of a pain in the butt. |
