The Phoenix Mercury failed to win a game at home that they desperately needed to keep their playoff hopes alive but instead lost a key game to the Houston Comets 80-72. Tina Thompson was on a mission scoring 16 of her 18 points in the first half to pace the Comets. Sheryl Swoopes and Michelle Snow each recorded double-doubles. Diana Taurasi led the Mercury with 19 points....
