Too bad she hardly played. Is that typical to play 17 mins one game and 3 the next? And it wasn't like the Sac. game was a blowout, and I thought Niele played pretty well. Was it bacause Penny Taylor didn't make the trip that Niele got to play so much? I am seriously just asking.
I just started following the Mercury about half way through the season when Niele got signed, but I hope they make the playoffs. |

Woo! Didn't see you there, iveyfan. Lots of folks agree with you about Niele.
Welcome to the board, post early & often.
Sorry if I look a bit of a mess, but I just got another avatar and now I have to run out and sue my orthodontist.
Relax, you'll get used to us, we're okay.
Really. |

| Thanks for the welcome. I've been reading the board for a while, I just never posted. Like I said, I've always followed the Eastern Conference and never really payed attention to Phoenix til 1/2 way through this season so I don't really know much about the team. I don't really have a whole lot to contribute except about Niele. I'm glad other people agree with me about her. I'm a little obsessed so sorry if I get annoying. |

No problem, everybody here is obsessed with somebody or something except me.
I just re-read your first post, and to answer your question with my 2 cents worth, I think Niele got more time in part because Penny wasn't there, there were some problems for the Merc moving the ball up, and Niele can surely help with that, and with possible playoffs in the near future, Coach Graf probably wanted to just test her out and estimate what kind of production she could expect out of her, which is hard to guess considering how new she is to the team.
I'm sort of an outsider here myself, being a Shock/Riley fan, but up until a few minutes ago, I had a close friend on the board here. |

| I was and still am a Shock/Riley fan too! It was perfect having my 3 favorite players (Ivey, Riley, Nolan) all playing for one team. But now Niele's here, so I'll be cheering for the Merc. too. |

Yes, MM, I think you're right, a good look for the pup.
It'll be interesting to see how she manages this fall, juggling athletics, school and, apparently, her extracurricular activites.
That's a lot of balls to keep in the air at once, so to speak.
So, Suze, from the black & white it's hard to tell, but are those the fuzzy-greeny-yellow ones you spoke of earlier with Cam?
And welcome, Iveyfan. You're in good hands making friends with rebolpuppy, the Pride & Joy of the Virginia Cavaliers Men's Football Team, amongst other teams, or so I hear.
She'll bend over backwards to help you. :) |

I'll have you know it's an actual outtake from the new reality show being taped here at UVA: The Val Ackerman & Wendy Palmer Makeover Miracle.
Andy, I know you recognize the one in the middle and the one on the right, but the one on the left belongs to one of your old chemistry profs. He says 'Hi!" and he's amazed you're still alive at all. He says to keep panning those rivers, punkin, there's gold in tham thar hills! |
