Hey, buddy! As we all saw, she was at the game tonight but DNP.
Can anyone tell me who it was that knocked her on the offensive foul? |

| Shereka did not play because of the concussion. Her wrist is as good as it has been. She will be available on Sunday. |

I was impressed to see Shareka rested today. Too many sports take concussions lightly these days - footballers here in Australia are often seen returning to the same game after a concussion (however small it may be), and it really irks me.
Extreme but valid example - Eric Lindros .... how that man is cleared by NHL league standards to stay in the game is beyond me - when one is told by their personal doctors that 'one more hit to the head' could not only end their career, but also end their life - you'd think they'd hang up the boots.
We have a 'rule' here in Mackay in *most* sports, that if a player suffers a concussion, they are not only not permitted to re-enter the game, but they also have to be checked and cleard by medical staff before their next game - regardless of how soon, or far away that game may be.
Like I said, 'extreme example', so dont get on my back about jumping the gun ... this post was more a rant in general then a rant about Shareka's injury  |
