| I'll take a chance and start this one and hope to get the Mercury back on a winning streak. Every game will be crucial. I'll defer to Cam for what the Mercury will need to do tonight and just mention a couple of things: cut down turnovers & toughen up the defense. San Antonio has lost four straight but do have home wins before that over New York & Seattle. I'm looking for the Mercury to be on a two-game winning streak by the time they get to Mpls. next Friday where they are 0-4 in the three years I have been there to see those games. Tonight's the game to get back on track. |

| Poor Diana, the Merc were lucky that this happened against Sac, because Sac isn't avery good. But Penny scoring 1/3 of the Merc's points i not a good thing...Phoenix will need Diana against the Sparks, so hopefully she'll be okay by then... |

kjg, good job!!
The Mercury did what they had to do to win this game. Sounds like they really stepped up the defense and made things happen for themselves offensively.
Hope that Dee's knee is okay for Tuesday's game.
We really need to win that one.
Way to go Mercury. Good game. |

I just want to say that the girls really did a great job last night without Dee. Penny Taylor's game has really elevated to a different level over the past few games. I got kind of nervous when Dee hit her knee...she went down really hard. My knee hurt when I saw that fall. She limped straight to the breezeway to the training room.
The team got the job done though. KV was looking good out there too. Lets hope that they will shut LA down on Tuesday like they did SASS.
Get better Dee! :( |
