Tonight is a must-win game against a conference rival. This is pivotal in that this game could be used to turn the season around or seal our fate in the Seimone Augustus sweepstakes.

Three Keys:

1) Start Maria and play her for at least 30 minutes. Seth did not spends years (to say nothing of the financial cost) to have her only play 11 minutes like she did against LA.

2) Penny Taylor needs to take a minimum of 10 shots. She is an excellent shooter, but she has been too passive offensively (though she did get to the line against LA).

3) Play ZONE. We cannot contain Shannon Johnson and Marie Ferdinand (and their collective athleticism) off the dribble. Use a zone to stop the dribble penetration (and to stop the fouling when players get beat in a man-to-man defensive scheme).

And..would it kill the team to set a few picks/screens for Anna, Penny, and Diana. Maybe giving them the opportunity for a really good shot..

Well, call me crazy, but maybe Kamila's just hangin' with the wrong kind of people.

I thought we had to capitalize that, sort of "Her Arse", like that? I know with Sally Bell you do, league rule.

True enough. I mean if you're going to see a team that's 3-11, surely to God they can go out and get some nice butt, huh?

"I don't care if you can set a pick or a screen, but Suze and I are just staying around the corner in the team hotel ... ", but I'm 5'3 and they just look over me, sign my forehead with magic marker, and I have to slink back to my room.

I mean, didn't *any* of "Almost Famous" sink in?

If not, we need to find one in the next 44 minutes...

With Stepanova and Robinson in foul trouble, why the heck is Carrie Graf not playing Sandora Irvin? Give the kid a few minutes...we NEED her shotblocking presence in the post!!!

Yay..Nice team win in SA..If Diana could start scoring her average again, and everyone plays the same..maybe the Merc could beat someone other than the third worst team in the league..

Good news, the big three all played well. Bad news Kamilla's arse fouled again, and I think Taurasi's did as well...

Cam, how much did Coach participate in drafting Sandora? Does she even know who she is :?

2 things from tonights game...Lisa can no long shot, jump or run, what is she doing in there? AndShereka is all heart baby! I love the way she's playing!!!

Oh and Katie Fenstra is good, but not as good as the refs let her be.

We won! :D

#1 Why is Lisa Harrison playing so much?

#2 Why didn't Sandora see a single bloody minute?

#3 Love Kamila's rebounding but her D... ech.

#4 Maria isn't quite there yet.

#5 Penny and Shereka need to be more aggressive off the dribble but both played well tonight.

Yeah, I was thinking why not put Lisa on IR and take Kayte out. I know Kayte isn't as talanted, but she's all heart and energy, and usually something good comes from her being in the game..She could have played some quality minutes when all of our other posts were in foul trouble...Of course, why Carrie didn't play Sandora instead of Lisa is still beyond me...

A nice job by Anna on Marie Ferdinand tonight, too, I thought.

I was really proud of the way our team hung in there tonight. I am more convinced than ever that DT can not get a break when it comes to officials. I understand her frustration and I feel her pain.

Most of you will agree that I have been a verbal and consistent supporter of Lisa's game on this board. I still think she has something to offer, but I would agree that it might be time for her to sit down. I do believe that Kayte has something to offer also, and I feel that the Swifter would have been more effective out there tonight and in LA.

I will say that when Lisa came into the game, SASS had a more difficult time getting the ball inside and seemed to lose some of their momentum. I don't know how much of a factor Lisa was to that or how much SASS did to themselves, but it was still worth mentioning. I will need to review the game to get a better idea.

Would have liked to see our rookie out there too. Maybe tomorrow, at home.

Completely disagree. Palmer-Daniel scored on her in one-on-one sets. Nikki McCray drove on her and scored. She should not be on the court.
