most other teams are just better. Steponova or not I do not see any post season play. We just do not have it.

I don't agree..This team has fixable problems..coughturnoverscough..And it is possible...I swear this team has ADD or something..They lose their concentration for minutes during the game..And..also..We need to find someone better than PP..the girl drives me nuts, ARob did very well in the time she was in..Play Kamilla and ARob..

Well we better fix them fast! We are a third into the season already, a serious win streak needs to be in the making.
Sure if potential were dipstick for success than we would be in the number one slot. But again we're good. Just not great...yet!

We're not going anywhere if the shot hogs go a combined 8/27 from the field (Anna sub 35% FG for the year). I also think that we're not going to get anywhere with Plenette as our starting 4. Hurry up and get here Maria!

I missed the game because I had to work so I have to rely on the box score. One thing that jumped out at me was that we only got 3 points from our bench. I'm no expert but if the starters are not having a good night, it's pretty hard to win a game with no bench. The points have to come from somewhere.

But hey, I didn't see the game so maybe I'm missing something. Does anyone know what's up with Snelly? Why is she on IR?

That's why I'm shocked she doesn't play Snelly...

However, this year, we are better off than last year..because now we have four offensive weapons..as opposed to three.

If Anna continues to be off, Shereka should be played more. However, she's got to drive the lane instead of settling for threes.

This team has at least one run ( Win Streak ) in them coming soon. However, if they get too far behind its not going to matter.

I wish these damn ladies would make up their mind if they going to play better and make a run for the play-off's or not.

My vacation is pending on their success this year

our team is talented but they are not good. They seem to be missing something they had last year - the concept of 'team'. the talent is better - is the issue coaching?

Okay, I'm probably going to get nailed for this..but I think the problem lies with Anna..

When Anna is shooting well, all is fine. When she isn't, well, Anna isn't a passer. It's not that she's selfish, she just doesn't find the right open player..a couple of times I've seen Penny wide open for threes, but then Anna will pass to PP...If Anna isn't shooting the ball well, she isn't helpful on the offensive end...so I agree, that either Snelly or Shereka should get some time....

Another problem is Plennette..She drives me nuts, she is the fifth offensive option on the floor, why do the players continue to pass to her.

You are not the first person to say that. We have this conversation in my house after every game. PP can be inconsistent.

Yes, Plenette can be somewhat inconsistent, but I wouldn't judge her just on the NY game. That was by far the worst game I've seen Plenette have this year, and she still had more points and rebounds than a lot of players. If you look at the stat sheets, Plenette is the leading rebounder on the team and 5th in scoring. But she also is more than double the next highest scorer on the list. She seemed completely out of sync against NY for some reason, but I think (hope) that was just an anomaly.

I admit that it is frustrating to see the times that she gets stripped of the ball, and I can't for the life of my figure out why some of her shots just will not fall, but that is pretty much the same for a lot of players. Regardless, she is greatly improved from next year, and I really think that once she works out whatever is going on with her shot she will be pretty impressive.

There's a good chance of winning this game tonight, shot's need to be made though. D needs to keep the little one in front of her, which is easier said than done.

Plenette's problem is she a post with little shooting range...who is still shooting 36 percent from the floor. She does not run back on defense, and she often does stupid things (taking shots with 20 seconds on the shot clock and 3 opposing players on her and no Mercury player ready to rebound). When she is on, she looks good. When she is off, she is bad. And she has been more off than on this year...
