So this won't be a completely wasted post, a big HI! to 1Carol! We're comin' at least once this summer, so we'll let you know when via LG. :)

Sorry this is so brief, but we have our own board, but we don't have any posters, so Andy told me to come over here and grab this stuff and post it, pretend like it's ours and .... oh, wait a minute, that's theft or copyright violation or plagiarism or something illegal, immoral and ultimately uninteresting and unimaginative, isn't it?

MDSPM, trust me, if they don't want you around, just leave gracefully, okay, please, or do something either a) useful or b) elsewhere.

1Carol.....

I don't think there is any problem with this information being posted here. The more sources for this information, the better.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I just can't read enough about our team.

It's probably just that 1Carol realizes she's read the stuff before.

I have no idea if a press release is going to be posted on the teams website. When I got the information, I placed it on our site and also on this board. Often, press releases are not always posted on team websites or they are posted afterwards. So if that happens then its a duplicate.

I'll have a Tully interview for you tomorrow.

Thanks rebolpuppy for understanding what I was trying to say.
Since my tact didn't work here is blunt:

I have not spoken out against sporstmagazine in the past. I usually ignore it if the title is not my interest except for 1 thing. It seriously iritates me when something is printed with a sportspagemagazine copyright on it, without giving credit to where the material originated. Only after being questioned did you say you posted a Press Release & since the Mercury insignia is on it and I read it on the Mercury website, I'll presume Mercury released it. I consider that Plagerism, which is why I asked if you have any original material.

BTW please put a title with all your URL posts so I'll know if it's something I want to read.

Hi Carol:

Just so you know, our website has a relationship with every WNBA team. In Phoenix, we have a writer and a photographer. We also has this in Houston, New York, Connecticut and Seattle.

In Los Angeles and in Minnesota we currently only have writers. The team allows us to reprint their photos from their websites.

In Charlotte and Washington, we are allowed to use whatever info we want off of their websites.

That leaves the Silver Stars, the Monarchs, the Fever and the Shock without a direct link with either a writer, a photographer or being able to reprint articles off of their websites.

However, we are on all 13 teams Press Release List. This means if it is e-mailed to me then I can reprint it.

If you have the time and visit our WNBA section and here is a link you will see that everything has a By a writer or By a Release of some type.

This post from the Mercury was the first release that they sent me. I informed my team contact and I started receiving them.

I have no need to Plagerise anyone. More often then not it will be someone who plagerises our website. Our photos can be found on many message boards.

I believe other then the WNBA and ESPN Websites, that we do probably a better job of providing and promoting the WNBA.

I am a huge women's basketball fan and I will help promote it because these ladies that play the game deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments.

You or anyone can e-mail if you would like at mdavino@sportspagemagazine.com if you have any further questions or want to talk about something.

Many thanks.

I think the bottom line is we realise your website is continually updated, therefore we really don't need/want you posting a link to every single update that's made (or any updates at all).

Having the credit on a highlight page isn't enough when the posted URL to the complete article doesn't reflect the credits. If you had printed the credits on the actual page referred to in your URL the 1st time, none of this conversation would have taken place. Thank you for correcting that.

Your support of women's basketball is appreciated by all. As you said, "Our players deserve to be recognized for their accomplishmnts."

Please put a title, reflecting content, with all your URL posts so I'll know if it's something I want to read. I don't have time for everything.

Sorry,MDSPM, but there was just nothing new in your link. Try putting a title on, and don't post things that are already on the Mercury Web Site.
