Just curious if anyone's as habitual as I am when at a game. I have little game rituals I like to do, and feel that if I don't do them, we won't win (I know, it really only matters how they play, but I think you know what I mean).
Rituals include, but not limited to:
- Out of my 4 season tickets, I will only sit in lucky #13 seat.
- Standing until first Merc score of game (much maligned for this by some fans - don't they look at the bench doing the same thing?)
- Standing each time the Merc score thereafter (but only briefly).
- May NOT talk during a Mercury free-throw.
- Yelling "Brick!", "Miss it!", or "You don't deserve it!" during opponents' free throws.
- Must wear a Mercury shirt of some sort (although I have not narrowed down one that is a guarantee win-maker).
- Ritualistic exhortations during player introductions (customized cheer for each player).
- Chanting "Defense" - "Take it away". Every. Single. Defensive set.
So fess up - I know I'm not alone! Share your Mercury madness, maybe we can get the whole AWA doing one...... |
