Hi, I have a ticket/voucher question and I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on it. This is a complicated story and I hope I don't confuse the heck out of anyone with it!
A friend of mine filled out a survey last year and in return got vouchers good for tickets to any game in May or June. (I think that was the deal - I haven't seen the vouchers in person, we've just talked about them over the phone.) These tickets are good for seats in the yellow sections.
There is something printed on the tickets that says something about there being a deadline 48 hours before the game. Neither one of us knows if this means that we have to turn in the vouchers and buy the tickets 48 hours before our chosen game. We'd like to go to the season opener.
My friend did call the 602-252-WNBA phone number and talked to 2 customer service people, both of whom thought that it would be OK to show up on game day with these vouchers. But, my friend is a little worried because she said neither person seemed to even know what kind of vouchers she was talking about.
So - has anyone here received vouchers for filling out a survey and do you know how they work? Can we, in fact, show up at game day and get our tickets then? Or was today our last chance to buy tickets?
Thank you so much! |

Welcome to the board, Cat.
I have the same vouchers but received them a different way.
I think these tickets will be fine for opening night and you should be able to redeem them at the ticket window. I wouldn't be too concerned about whether someone you talked to on the phones knows about the vouchers. This would not be the first time the sales people were clueless as to what the marketing people are doing.
However, if they don't work, I would suggest you buy two tickets and then redeem your vouchers for another game in June.
Good luck. |

| Thanks for the advice! When I read the paper that morning and saw that there were only 800 seats left, I called my friend, told her to save her vouchers for another game and bought tickets for us. I just wish they'd won! So disappointing to lose a season opener - but it'll only get better, right? |
