Keegan, Dunkin Dan, Capsman, Caune?, others???

If the Canberra Capitals played the Mercury and other WNBA teams how would they fare? Predict your results please, with comments.

The new Capitals wouldn't do that well at all... no Jacinta Hamilton, no bench!

There's an interesting thought. Between her 35 minutes for the Caps & 5 for Phoenix, Vealy would actually get quite a good run :P

The second-tier of players over here is not the same standard as the WNBA though. There are a couple of teams whose starters might compete for a while, but if it ever got to the benches (or Perth's starters ;) it would get ugly.

Perhaps WNBL teams of previous years might have had a shot (the Perth team that lost to Vealy's AIS side a few years back was a pretty good lineup, and Sydney & Adelaide used to always be chock full of talent) but these days all the best players (apart from Loz & Vealy) play in Europe.

I think with the current rosters, a WNBL all-star team would compete pretty well in the WNBA, but that's about it.

... and as for comments, you'd better ask Timmsy, since she'd be the obvious choice to be behind the mic for that game, with Rodney O as MC.

WNBL All-Stars lose to Houston/LA in the semi-finals, but regroup to win the 3rd-4th playoff for the bronze.
