Since I am in no way connected or in line for inside info, her comments regarding trades between the Merc and the Mystics surprises me. I hate the idea of Anna going anywhere! Or DoubleP, she was really starting to show some fire.

Comments, anyone?

I don't mind trading PP or even Anna D (for the right price) but IMHO, the proposed trade is a crap idea. Chas is an upgrade but I like other options better.

Everyone knows my feelings about trading Anna....I think. Just in case someone has been off the planet in the off season, my feeling is NO TRADE. Just in case I wasn't clear......DO NOT TRADE ANNA.

I feel slightly better now.

While I did hear Anna was included in a proposed trade for Holdsclaw (personally, that would have been a hard one to dispute, sorry Co-Jones - just means she is as good as you!), I think the only reason why Anna was mentioned in NL's article is because Nancy cannot write about the W without mentioning Anna. I wonder if they have some kind of contest or if NL lost a bet or something and has to keep mentioning Anna's name. Could it be that she is just taking advantage of a "free marketing tool." 8) That would be brilliant!!

The more I think and read about the proposed trade for Melvin, I am beginning to really NOT like that idea. I still think it is important to keep our team intact as much as possible. We have made some improvements. Whether they are enough to combat improvements made by others and/or take us to the next level and the promised land, time will tell. I am sure Keegan will have an excellent disection of the Western conference in his blog soon. Much of the talk on Melvin is that she is a "chemistry" risk on a team and that she and Penny are very much happy that they are "former" teammates.

cam keeps saying, "it will all be revealed". (every time I hear that statement I think of some physic with a her crystal ball) But if this trade is reveled, I for one, will begin to worry about Seth's GM of the Year award.

I understand the impetus to get Chas, a proven commodity on board but to me, the expense is simply too high. Plenette was a whisker away from an all-star type season last year and she really should break out this year. I say let's give Sandora her shot in camp and see which of the big girls will step up.

Do NOT believe everything that Nancy Lieberman says. Lets just say Nanyc does not have all the facts and relies on speculation and innuendo for some of her claims.

All will be revealed.

I guess this proves Cam and NL have more in common than even he would have previously admitted.

aml10....trades can be made after the draft. We traded Adrian for Gwen remember, during the season. I can't remember if you were in Phoenix when that draft happened, but if you were, that would explain why you can't remember.

I don't know the dates and stuff, but I do believe there is a window of time when trades can not be made. I also believe there is a window of time during the off season when contracts can not be signed, etc.

kjg - LOL, but be careful. Them's fighting words, I'll bet. Get ready for the lash of cam.

No lash necessary. KJG doesn't know what she is talking about.

OK, Cam may talk with Seth, as do other fans and such.
However, one thing is Cam is not able to remember everything, that he proved last winter
And those ain't fighting words, just the facts.

Hoop, your "summary" of events and "facts" from last winter...well, you would give Michael Chabon a run for awards for best pieces of fiction.

Not quite sure about your need to instigate or bring in comments having nothing to do with this topic...but that is your right.

1.) Since I know kjg, I can assure all of you that he's just teasing cam. I also know cam loves to tease & play games with us all by posting little bits of info to keep us speculating. It's much more fun than the straight (no pun intended) facts.
If I recall last year correctly, there was a mutual respect between cam and kjg due to both of them having immense basketball knowledge.

2.) I'm willing to bet my pants  that Chasity Melvin never wears a Mercury uniform.

1carol was "right on." Very perceptive of her as I've come to expect. I certainly was just teasing Cam and was looking for a reaction. No need to circle any proverbial wagons at this time. I'm much looking forward the draft and the season. By the way "Rosemary's Baby" turned 29 today.

:P Been there, done that. Hmmm? For sure with mom, don't remember with the "Baby." Hmmm? Maybe it was with the priest during the exorcism. Some of us up here don't hunt, fish, or snowmobile so we have to have other activities to keep us going during the winter.
