http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/1116cabaret-ON.html

...

That's because the newest business trying to cash in on downtown Phoenix's transformation is "The Palace Cabaret," an all-nude, adult cabaret that could open as early as January, right in the heart of what is slated to be the city's family-friendly entertainment district.

...

His will be an "upscale" club that caters to men and women between the ages of 25 and 65, he said.

The proposed club would be located at 136 E. Washington Ave. in a space that formally housed an adult bookstore. The cabaret would be sandwiched between the Sports City Grill and a portion of Majerle's Sports Grill - a few blocks from the America West Arena and the Phoenix Civic Plaza.

...

"Great. Just what we need in our family friendly environment," said A.J. Sulka, general manager at Majerle's Sports Grill. "People are making the effort to revitalize downtown, and you start throwing that kind of establishment in the mix, and I don't think it's a good thing."

AJ was just interviewed on the news...not particularily happy about his potential new neighbor.

If we stop at Majerle's before of after visiting the Palace, will we be welcomed?

Will the employees of said club be able to grab a bite before or after shift?

Will customers move back and forth, to be able to get alcohol?

Are the waitstaff uniforms a statement of hypocrisy?

In the movie, The American President, it was stated that to honor the flag we must honor the right to burn it in protest. To honor free speech, we must honor those shouting at the top of their lung that which you would oppose at the top of yours.

Point is, the establishment has the right to locate there. If it is "not your bag", do not walk through the door.

Gee, it sounds pretty family friendly to me....just leave the kids at home!
Plus all the travelling business men will have a reason to stay downtown instead of by the airport.

Additionally, what other family friendly entertainment is downtown aside from the D-backs, Suns and the Merc?

aml10, don't sweat Cam...the pretty boys at Dick's Cabaret rejected him...or did he reject them?

If you guys buy the lappies at the Palace, I'll buy the rounds at Majerle's.

I'd better stop before before anyone is implicated.

It is just talk...we are all innocent...we reside in a red state...ew!

Two of the strippers at Dick's Cabaret offered me money to take my clothes off. And the only hot one there was a hetero.
