I hope everything turns out okay for the Wiz.
I did find an error in the article though Phoenix was the 98 Western Conference champ. Houston was in the East the first two seasons. |

MercuryManiac, Houston moved to the West in 1998, as Detroit and Washington were added to the East.
Remember, Phoenix played Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs that year...2nd place in the West played first in the East.
Houston was only in the East in 1997. |
