| Poor Mr. Ed. As an announcer said, "she gets into foul trouble when playing Sacramento." and 17 turnovers by LA. |

Got to love it. The Ann Meyers Mr. Ed lovefest is over! I'm so glad I won't have to hear her name anymore in the playoffs. I guess LA is finally learning how the other half lives, when the refs are terrible all around. Calls for flops that they usually didn't get weren't being called.
Great D by Yo to keep Mr. Ed under wraps and the Sac bench stepped up big.
I like how Greg Anthony talked about LA's lack of intensity, when Ann was trying to make excuses for LA. He just stated it plainly, Sacramento came to play and did.
It will be fun to see the SEA/SAC series. |

| LA is NOT. In the last minute and a half or so Mabika swats Kara Lawson in the face and then knocks the ball out of her hands. Technical foul and PF on Mabika. LA did not win because they did not have favoritism by the officials for some surprise, for a change. Poor Sharks. My heart is really breakin' for 'em right now NOT. Sacramento played so well. I love it when Anne Meyers says, "LA is just standin' around". |

It's a wonder she wasn't talking about Mr. Ed doing something "MVP"-like or whatever. |

| I mostly only heard Meyers in these playoffs and I did not get the sense that she had a love fest with the Sharks. But I haven't heard her in the season with LA. Maybe it's a history thing. I'm the new kid on the block WNBA wise - my first season (any many many more to come). |

| She does LA play by play during the season. It's good as a newbie she doesn't sound biased to you, that give me hope, because she usually waxes poetically about LA all the time. |

Ding dong! The witches are dead! And if we couldn't be the ones to do it, I'm glad the ones that beat us out of the 4th spot did.
I say GO SACRAMENTO! What better timing than Breast Cancer Awareness Month for Edna Campbell to win a ring? And I'm a big 'ol YO fan. She plays tough but fair, and that stare - well, I'd hate to meet her in a dark alley! |

Oh what a glorious day...
Seattle -vs- Sacramento. Although I'm cheering for Tully's team I'll be a happy chappy regardless of who wins the west.
There's only one thing that could make this any sweeter: if they made LL show up to the western conference finals in her street clothes to collect her MVP award in person.
Maybe LJ could even give her a little friendly wave from the court as she warms up  |

It's going to be a fun conference final. Depending on which teams decide to show up. The Sacramento team that played tough defense and frustrate the Sharks or the one that shoots 27% from the field?
For Seattle it will be key if Betty Lennox stays within the offense or chucks up bricks and how the supporting cast does. I know Sue's going to play and LJ will bring it, but Kamilla, Adia, Sheri will it be them or their evil twins fun series.
BTW, I saw PT13fan in the stands of yesterday's game. 8) and I'm jealous not being at a playoff game *sniff* |

The Mighty Have Fallen
After staging a second-half rally in Tuesday's 66-64 Game 3 victory over the defending champion Shock, the Liberty await the winner of tonight's Sun-Mystics first-round finale (8 ET, Oxygen). Meanwhile, the Monarchs' 73-58 triumph knocked out the Sparks, the regular season's best team.
I am pis*ed & furious.
For my Aussie friends, this makes me want to get pis*ed.
This wnba.com top of the page headline article should be about the Sharks, but it's not. Only the slightest mention of the ultimate defeat of OmaLisa's Sharks
The league appears to be protecting OmaLisa from the public disgrace her poor sportsmanship deserves. I personally wanted to see a replay of her Olympic protestations about how the refs don't respect her status as a veteran. They actually called her on fouls she's been commiting for the last 8 years! Amazing (she says sarcastically) how that (and great defense) puts limitations on her offensive (read elbows & knees) tactics that enable her to make plays & limits defense against her.
ps: do you wonder if this gal is a bit bitter?
OK... OK... I'll get off my soap box now  |

Just think the best part is after the MVP award is given out, they won't have any reason to mention her name in the broadcasts. :D
Probably, they'll invite her to give half time game analysis and then she can talk about how she would play each of the posts. I thought with her strong back, she'd put her team on it and carry them to the finals  |

You know what is amazing, this is the only 1-4 upset this year and no mention was made of it. So except for this match up, all have gone according to the way teams were ranked. Plus its the first time ever for Sacto to defeat LA in the playoffs and merely a whisper. Something stinks!
Tis an interesting oversight. I agree 1carol, Mr. Ed has a great agent which keeps the league from showing her in a bad light. |
