Probably one of the most important games so far this season. We NEED a road win! Why not today? :)

Williams had a double double last meeting. Kayte had 5 RBs in 12 min. Tuvic hadn't arrived yet. Reed was still here. Veal was on IR. How things have changed. We're a much better team today......emphasis on TEAM

I couldn't agree more, Gia.

The team has to take the heart they played with on Thursday to SLC and get a road win. This road issue has become a monkey on their backs... and they can't play every game at home!

Also, thanks for the link to listen to the game. :)

The young ladies kept it close. A good second half would be welcome. :!:

That KSL link was dissapointing. Internet Radio remains in the appeal process for the arbitrated commercial rights decision (which was unworkable, I thought), so there is no streaming of the overair broadcast content. The new internal browser player on audio season pass was also disappointing. I switched over to the former RealPlayer.

So free throw opportunities & an ineffective (against the Starz, anyway) zone D seem to be the difference at half time. Lisa has 3 fouls left for the second half. The team foul situation is not bad, just too many shooting fouls awarding them opportunities at the line.

I may have missed comment when I was fighting the audio stream problem: Why hasn't Kayte played? :?

Go Mercury :!: :)

Hi Bob...

Kevin Ray just said Kayte was injured, haven't heard much more about it. She took some pretty hard tumbles on Thursday night, probably has something to do with it. :( Hope she's OK...

I want to know how Lisa can get three fouls in four minutes?!?!?! Argh!

Box score on Yahoo says Kayte had a sore right knee.

Actually, Lisa's 3 first half fouls came in a 59 sec interval: :o

(16:41) [PHX] Harrison Foul: Offensive (1 PF)
(16:41) [PHX] Harrison Turnover: Foul (1 TO)
(16:28] [PHX] Harrison Foul: Personal (2 PF)
(16:14) [UTH 7-8] Williams Driving Layup: Made (2 PTS) Assist: Azzi (2 AST)
(16:04) [PHX] Grubin Jump Shot: Missed
(16:04) [UTH] Team Rebound
(15:53) [UTH] Williams Turnover: Double Dribble (2 TO)
(15:53) Timeout: Official
(15:42) [PHX] Harrison Foul: Loose Ball (3 PF)
(15:42) [PHX] Harrison Substitution replaced by Saunders

Could we replay those 59 seconds, please :?:

Comments were made that the referees were anticipating fouls. Could the WNBA afford to run a Winter camp for these jokers  :?: Perhaps in the outback of Australia in their worst season (their summer) :?: Timmsy could maybe help set it up :!:

Go Mercury :!:
No record :!:
Win the next one
Please :?:

I want to know WHY Veal was left on the bench again in the second half?? She had 5 PTs in 6 minutes......which seems to be the token allocation of minutes she's going to get. Something's not right here. Grubin wasn't scoring (1-7)......what am I missing in all this?

Not having Kayte available hurt the cause today. Adrain did well on the boards but she's far from a scoring threat.

Off to Vegas in the morning. Behave while I'm gone

Seems to me nowadays that Veal does as much as the other points in 5 mins... while they take 25-30.

If Sharp doesn't want her, she should trade her.

Well the Sparks realised that halfway through their first season.

Alternatively this could be a blessing in disguise. Sharp goes at the end of the year and we get a top 8 pick in a shallow draft.

Of course the problem will be attracting the fans who are long-gone.

Vealy will be the best point guard in the league.
If the Merc staff can't see that, they should trade her to someone who will let her play. Why did they draft her if they were gonna sit her on the bench!!!
They let Graffy go!
They hire Cooper!!!
The Reed shenanigans
The Cooper shenanigans
Now the Sharp shenanigans
When will the Mercury catch a break!!!
