If you are going to post results, please type "spoiler" and the event name in the subject line, THEN post the results in the thread.

It would be nice, for those of us watching the game, to not know the outcome!

Remember this tomorrow, as some fans may tape the womens game, planning to view it at a later time in the day.

txdtfan3,

The game was tape delayed here in Phoenix. You probably didn't know that.

I logged on the internet just as the game was starting. My start up page is azcentral sports. The head line was "US lose to Argentina" Argh!!

Watched the game anyway just to see how many stupid comments the announcers could make.

mb - I already raised the roof with her over the Texas bit way back. It was very difficult for me to do, but I've forgiven her for where she lives. What's next is for her to say that's where she's from

MB and Carol just to let you know a little about me....I don't live in Dallas, I'm a country girl. I live about an hour east of Dallas. I love sitting on my porch at night listening to all the sounds and looking at the stars with my daughter. I love the country.

I have lived in Texas all my life. I did move the Fort Myers, Florida for a year for my job but I am a Texan. I love the state I am from but not to fond of some of the people.

I guess I am a bit of a dreamer...I believe in human kindness and the human spirit.

I support our troups whole heartedly. I have cousins and friends in the marines and navy seals. This is very hard on them but they are doing a job that they signed up to do. I believe in them not the cause. Does that make since?

Of course it makes sense. Pleeeaase don't take us too seriously. We forget that our being friends lets us understand between the lines of our posting. Much of what we say is wry humor.

We don't really think Texas is horrid. A Dixie Chick quote says it best "We're shamed the president is from our great state of Texas". As you said "not too fond of some of the people" only here in the big city we are part of a very diverse group of friends. We are from college age to retirement, many occupations, every color, sex & sexual preference. Some religious & some not. We believe in strong, (not in just the physical sense) spirited, independent women. Women who prefer men want a man that appreciates us as the equal partner we are. We don't have to stand by our man quietly, seen and not heard. We also believe that the women that prefer women and men that prefer men have every right to live their lives as they wish. El Presidente would not approve of some of us & is making life difficult for many. Religion does not teach the hate that man has caused throughout our nation.

We wholeheartedly support our troops. Just not the reason they are over there in harms way. There have been more deaths since the supposed war ended & the peacekeeping began. mb has served his country and is very patriotic. I had loved ones in the Viet Nam war so I understand. I think this war is the same & should be protested the way the Viet Nam war was protested.

thanks for the post...I didn't take it the wrong way just wanted to let y'all to know a little about me. I also believe everyone has a right to chose whom they want to be with, others personal lives doesn't effect me one way or the other, heck I don't even have a personal life. I guess I should quit looking for Mr. Right and start looking for Mr. Right now...

mb thank you for your services in the service it is greatly appreciated.
