A lot of good strong coffee, it's only 4:45am here.
Could anyone doubt my devotion? I even have 2 VCR tape recorders doing their job.
I wish someone besides Ann Meyers was announcing. I most definitely get tired of her.

These uniform color changes are a tad confusing at times. I caught myself, saying to myself "there's Penny" in white with her blonde pony tail.
Then I realized there were too many blonde pony tails.
It sure is early
Where's that coffee?

USA 80
CZR 61

Uh...DT didn't play that well...or should I say, she couldn't hit the side of a barn (1-7 FG's). She also had 3 turnovers to 1 assist. She did have 4 rebounds. Hopefully she'll bounce back on Wednesday.

Tina, Yolanda, and Lisa were all in double figures. Swin Cash added 8 points and 6 rebounds. Sue and Sheryl had 7 points apiece. Ruth had 2.

I loved how LL said the men should come and watch and learn, since the announcers really didn't want to talk about the women crushing the Czech Republic.

I just wished the announcers would quit making excuses for the men when they don't produce, also I wish they would quit calling them the Dream Team. There was only one Dream Team and that was in 92. It's team USA and right now not a cohesive one.

The women looked great with lots of passing and rebounding. We still have to take care of the ball, 20 TOs is too many and good teams like Australia, Russia and Brazil are going to capitalize on those mistakes.

Alot is being made...at least on the boards...about LL comments. I think she was fairly diplomatic about what she said about the guys. And no doubt they need to get out and support their fellow ballers.
Just hope the he said/she said doesnt' get out of hand and overshadow the competition.

She was diplomatic and you could see she was getting irritated by the endless questions. It was almost like they wanted her to say something negative about the men.

But she is right, they do need to come out and support all of the US team members.

My favorite LL comment was how players must adjust to playing for "The Team" during international games. Not like in the WNBA where everyone's out for themself. When talking about team play or lack of in the WNBA, maybe she should come watch the Mercury to learn how it's done. I've never seen her so supportive of her team mates or lead by example before. I had a bit of difficulty believing it was her at 1st

I give her many kudos for "diplomatically" putting the men in their place. However, it's the men who wouldn't interupt their golf game for the olympics that set the pace the younger men are following for selfish play.
I hope they're embarrassed by the negative publicity

The men should make an effort to come watch & support as many USA teams as they can fit into their schedule. I doubt they need to stay out on the big boat as much as they are
