My family in Florida is fine. My sister lost power for a day, but now it's back on. My grandparents, aunt & uncle, and my cousins all lucked out.
No, I'm not coming for 9/4. My dad has a business trip that weekend. |

I'm glad you got that out of your system, I was getting worried.
Bball fan glad to hear your family is okay, I've been living in an Olympic cocoon and have watched no news. |

|

Dawn Staley, the point guard and heart/soul of the team, was asked if the veterans will feel comfortable when it's time to turn over the family business to the kids, like Olympic rookies Taurasi and Sue Bird.
"I'll feel comfortable after this," Staley said, referring to one more gold medal.
The kids must pay dues.
"I gotta get muffins for Lisa (Leslie)," Taurasi said when asked about rookie chores.
The Americans play a card game called Tonk, but as Staley said of Taurasi, "She can't play cards unless one of us (veterans) doesn't want to play. (Pause) But when she plays, she wins."

P.S. There was an interview prior to the Olympics in which DT said that the veterans asked her to play cards and when she sat down LL told DT to go get her a muffin. DT was laughing. Guess she's not gonna let anybody forget the LL muffin story. |
